A photograph that began circulating online in January 2026 falsely claims to show a young Zohran Mamdani, New York City’s mayor, alongside notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, and tech billionaires Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos.
The image, shared widely on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Threads, has been identified as an AI-generated fabrication. The original creator, an X account named @DumbFxckFinder, explicitly states that it produces “AI-powered … videos & memes.” Google’s AI detection tool, SynthID, found a watermark within the image, confirming the use of Google’s AI technology in its creation.
Further examination of the image reveals several inconsistencies characteristic of AI-generated content. For instance, Bill Gates appears to be missing a finger on his left hand, and the way Jeffrey Epstein is depicted holding Bill Clinton suggests an unnatural pose. Additionally, Bill Gates’ collar has an odd extra button or buttonhole.
The purported age of Zohran Mamdani in the photo also creates a chronological discrepancy. Born in 1991, a young Mamdani would have been around 10 years old in the early 2000s. However, at that time, Jeff Bezos, depicted as mostly bald in the image, still had a full head of hair, as evidenced by photographs from 2001.
This is not the first instance of @DumbFxckFinder creating a fabricated image involving Zohran Mamdani. The account previously generated a similar false image purportedly featuring Mamdani’s mother with the same individuals, which was initially presented as satire.
