Shooting Reported at Champaign Mall; One Person Injured, Police Investigating

Police in Champaign, Illinois, are investigating a shooting reported at the Market Place Shopping Center, commonly known as Champaign Mall. The incident prompted a large law enforcement response and temporarily caused panic among shoppers and employees inside the mall.

Law enforcement vehicles and fire trucks were seen arriving at the shopping center, while officers began securing the area and searching for the suspect.

One Person Injured
