According to police, officers from District 4 responded to reports of gunfire around 3:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of Cass Avenue. When officers arrived, they discovered several individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Investigators said five people in total were shot during the incident. Two men died at the scene, while three other victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
