A video circulating online purports to show U.S. President Donald Trump falling while attempting to enter a vehicle in July 2026. The clip gained traction on platforms like X and TikTok, with some viewers believing it depicted the president’s declining health.
However, the footage is not authentic. It was created using artificial intelligence software, and its origin has been clearly labeled as such. The AI-generated video is based on real footage from July 1, 2026, which shows Trump pausing briefly before entering a vehicle, but he does not collapse in the original clip.
The creator of the AI video initially included a caption stating, “Video is AI, but all the same.” While this disclaimer was not immediately visible to all viewers, requiring them to click “more” to see the full text, it was later reiterated by the creator in a follow-up post emphasizing the importance of looking beyond headlines.
The AI-generated video exhibits visual cues indicative of its artificial origin, such as blurred edges and unnatural hand shapes. The source material for the fake video appears to be footage from a Fox News report on July 1, 2026, and potentially an Instagram post from the same date that featured similar graphical elements.
The White House has been contacted for comment regarding the AI imagery of Trump. This is not the first instance of AI-generated media purporting to show Trump in a compromising situation; a similar piece of content surfaced in August 2025.
