Did 163 Democrats use same Oklahoma address to vote for Biden in 2020? There’s no proof

Claim:

One hundred sixty-three votes for then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden in 2020 all originated from a single house in Oklahoma.

  • A viral meme claims that 163 votes for Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election were cast from the exact same Oklahoma residential address shown in the graphic.
  • A reverse-image search successfully traced the house to the small rural community of Stratford, Oklahoma.
  • Misha Mohr, a spokesperson for the Oklahoma State Election Board, confirmed via email that the allegation is entirely untrue. Electronic databases show that only a single registered voter lives at that location, that individual is registered as a Republican, and they did not participate in the 2020 election. Mohr also noted that individual ballots cannot be linked to specific voters unless those individuals choose to disclose that information.
  • Digital archives revealed no news media reports or social media activity regarding this claim prior to 2026.

Social media users have circulated a graphic asserting that 163 ballots were cast for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential race using a single residential address in Oklahoma.

This narrative echoes recurring allegations regarding widespread irregularities during the 2020 contest. In 2021, The Associated Press conducted a comprehensive review of similar claims across six pivotal states and concluded that there was no evidence of fraud on a scale that would have altered the outcome.

A reader submitted the meme to us via email. The image depicts a modest, single-story home with a single-car garage and what appears to be a mattress leaning against the front porch wall.

Text overlaid on the image asks, “Why do we need voter ID? Because in the 2020 election, 163 Democrats used this one address to cast a vote for Joe Biden.” The reader inquired about its authenticity.

A reverse-image search revealed that the same claim has been shared widely across various platforms, including Facebook (archived), LinkedIn (archived), Reddit (archived), Threads (archived), and X (archived).

Official records prove the rumor is entirely false. Misha Mohr, spokesperson for the Oklahoma State Election Board, confirmed in an email that the assertion lacks any factual basis.

According to state electronic databases, the property pictured—located at 401 N. Sycamore St. in Stratford, Oklahoma—lists only one registered voter, who is affiliated with the Republican Party and did not cast a ballot in 2020.

Mohr explained, “There is no way to tie a voter to any particular ballot. How a voter casts his/her ballot is known only to that voter, unless that voter chooses to share that information.”

Furthermore, Mohr consulted an official who served as the assistant secretary for the Garvin County Election Board during the 2020 election. That official confirmed there were no logged reports or concerns regarding potential irregularities at the Sycamore Street address during that election cycle.

Investigating the Origin of the Meme

Extensive searches across major search engines including Bing, DuckDuckGo, Google, and Yahoo yielded zero coverage from news outlets or political commentators regarding 163 votes for Biden originating from the Stratford residence. If such an event had genuinely occurred, it likely would have drawn significant media attention. Additionally, digital traces show no promotion of this rumor prior to this year, more than five years after the election took place.

A reverse-image lookup matched the home to real estate records on sites like Realtor.com, confirming its physical location in Garvin County. The property is also visible via Google Maps Street View.

During the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump carried every single county in Oklahoma, winning the state by a margin exceeding two-to-one and securing over 81% of the vote specifically in Garvin County.
