A viral social media post recently claimed that Ben Affleck was photographed with a “pregnant teen” outside his Los Angeles residence.
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck found himself at the center of a misleading internet rumor after an X user shared images alleging to show him with a pregnant young woman near his LA home.
While social media users were quick to correct the post by providing the actual context of the photos, the claim still circulated widely. Let’s take a closer look at the facts behind the viral rumor.

The rumor kicked off when an account on X, @MavenUg, posted paparazzi-style images with the caption, “Jennifer Lopez Ex-husband Ben Affleck spotted with a pregnant teen outside his house in LA.” The post gained traction by invoking Affleck’s high-profile history with singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.
Affleck and Lopez’s relationship dates back to their early 2000s engagement, a subsequent split in 2004, a reconciliation in 2021, and their July 2022 wedding. The pair ultimately separated in 2024, finalizing their divorce in January 2025.
The rumor also surfaced around the same time Affleck appeared on a podcast interview released on Wednesday, October 14.
During his guest spot on ‘The Moment with Jorge and Paola Ramos’—part of iHeartPodcasts’ My Cultural Network—Affleck discussed the work ethic of Latinos in Hollywood and shared that he holds “an enormous amount of respect and admiration” for Lopez’s career accomplishments. He also pointed out that she frequently faced unfair double standards in the industry.
Fact Check: The rumor is entirely false
The viral claim is false. The post relies on severely outdated photographs paired with a fabricated, sensationalized caption to manufacture a fake news story.
The woman pictured in the images is actually actress Ana de Armas. In March 2020—when these photos were originally taken—de Armas was 31 years old and turned 32 the following month, meaning she was certainly not a teenager.
The photographs date back to the period when Affleck and de Armas were in a relationship after meeting on the set of the thriller ‘Deep Water’. The snapshots capture the former couple outside a Los Angeles property alongside a dog, and they have nothing to do with recent events.
X’s Community Notes, along with numerous users in the replies, quickly flagged the post, correctly identifying the woman as de Armas and supplying the real timeline of the photos.
There are no credible sources or news reports indicating that de Armas was pregnant at the time, nor is there any truth to the idea that Affleck was recently seen with a pregnant teenager. The viral post simply repackages years-old pictures under a false premise.
Ultimately, the only accurate element of the viral post is that Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are no longer together. The narrative regarding a pregnant teen and a recent sighting at Affleck’s home is completely untrue.
