Fact Check: Did Trump praise Lindsey Graham as ‘very masculine’ in a social media post?

WASHINGTON, DC — A viral screenshot making the rounds on social media claims that President Donald Trump shared a bizarre and overly complimentary Truth Social post about the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, describing him as a “total warrior” with “very masculine” energy. The image has triggered widespread ridicule online, while also drawing skepticism that prompted a closer look at its authenticity.

The Claim: A Viral Truth Social Post Praising Lindsey Graham

The widely shared image purports to show a message directly from Trump’s official Truth Social account.

The fake post reads: “Everyone is talking about these crazy stories coming out about the late, great Lindsey Graham… I have known him for years, and I always thought he was very masculine, very masculatine, total warrior energy! He was always ready to fight! Ready to send troops anywhere!”

It continues, “Always talking about the military! In fact, Lindsey especially loved the Navy! Very proud of their work in Hormuz. He loved the ships, he loved the admirals, and he ESPECIALLY loved the seamen!”

Additionally, the fabricated message claims that Graham backed “Pete Hegseth’s testosterone testing” and “volunteered to do the tests himself.”

Fact Check: The Post is Completely Fake

Despite gaining traction across multiple platforms, the claim is entirely fabricated. No such statement exists on Donald Trump’s official Truth Social profile or any of his other verified social media accounts.

A thorough review of Trump’s profile history, alongside searches of X (formerly Twitter) accounts that automatically track and archive every post made by the president, revealed zero matches for the text in the screenshot. Furthermore, a broader web search found no record of the post ever having been published and subsequently deleted—an event that undoubtedly would have drawn major coverage from mainstream news outlets.

Closer inspection of the screenshot itself reveals clear indicators that the image is a satirical creation:

  • A visible watermark on the image credits “Mrs. Putin Satire.”
  • The username displayed is intentionally altered to “@realDotardTurmp” rather than Trump’s actual handle, “@realDonaldTrump.”
  • The timestamp contains obvious errors, listing the date and time as “OCT 14, 22026” and “13:62 AM.”
