Fact Check: Does the photo show Hakeem Jeffries with Jeffery Epstein?

A viral social media post recently claimed, “Hakeem Jeffries loves calling out anyone who ever stood near Jeffrey Epstein.”

WASHINGTON, DC: A manipulated image circulating across social media falsely purports to show House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries seated alongside the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. This fabricated picture has emerged amid heightened public scrutiny surrounding newly surfaced Epstein documents and associated allegations against public figures. Here is a breakdown of the facts behind the image.

The Claim: A Photo Depicts Hakeem Jeffries with Jeffrey Epstein

Ongoing releases and investigations into Epstein-related archives—particularly regarding the Department of Justice’s management of redacted materials—have continuously fueled public interest. Unfortunately, this renewed attention has also generated a wave of synthetic imagery and unsubstantiated accusations targeting political figures.

The unverified picture initially spread via a Facebook user who published the graphic alongside claims linking Hakeem Jeffries to Jeffrey Epstein.

Accompanying the picture was the accusation: “Hakeem Jeffries loves calling out anyone who ever stood near Jeffrey Epstein.” The caption further alleged, “His own campaign fundraisers reportedly invited the convicted pedophile to dinner in 2013 so Epstein could ‘get to know’ Jeffries,” while adding that Democrats allegedly accepted his financial support and flew on his aircraft for years.

The post quickly gained traction, prompting skepticism from multiple commentators. One user pointed out the visual inconsistencies, writing, “Funny how he is the only one dressed casual for this dinner, almost like it’s photoshopped…” Another quipped, “Somebody is about to blame A.I.”

Meanwhile, another observer remarked, “Yes because both sides are working for one single goal. They’re all part of the same club, and none of us are in it.”

Although certain users asserted that the photograph stemmed from a 2013 gathering, the image itself offers zero proof that Jeffries and Epstein ever crossed paths. Let’s examine the reality behind the viral narrative.

Fact Check: False — The Image is Fabricated

The allegation is entirely false. Independent investigations and digital analysis confirm that the picture is a product of artificial intelligence.

This content is a prime example of synthetic media often referred to as “AI slop”—low-grade, computer-generated material designed purely to harvest engagement, spark viral outrage, and drive web traffic.

A reverse-image lookup via Google indicates that the earliest appearance of the graphic trace back to February 11 on the X (formerly Twitter) handle @DumbFckFinder.

A distinct “DFF” watermark is visible near Jeffries’ head in the image. The account explicitly labels its output as parody and satire. When investigators initially scrutinized the post, the profile’s biography defined it as “an AI-powered meme engine that turns stupidity into content.”

The bio further stated: “We use AI to create memes, songs, stories, and visuals that call things exactly how they are — fast, loud, and impossible to ignore. If something looks dumb, sounds dumb, or feels off, we turn it into something shareable.”

Furthermore, reverse-image searches confirm that the graphic exists exclusively within the ecosystem of social media and was never picked up or published by mainstream news outlets. There is no legitimate proof connecting Jeffries and Epstein in any capacity.
