A viral post on X falsely claims that Noah Schnapp has landed the role of Robin in ‘The Batman Part II’.

Recently, a rumor gained traction claiming that Noah Schnapp, known for his work in ‘Stranger Things’, is set to play Robin in the upcoming DC Comics film. Naturally, the rumor caused a stir online, requiring a closer look at the facts.
Claim: Noah Schnapp has been cast as Robin in ‘The Batman Part II’
The viral post asserted that the young actor was joining the sequel to the 2022 blockbuster.
The rumor spread rapidly across multiple platforms, dividing fans in the comment sections. While some expressed excitement over the supposed casting, others immediately doubted its validity.
Many users remained skeptical from the start, questioning the source and asking for verification.
Fact Check: The claim originated as satire
In reality, the claim is entirely false. There has been no official announcement regarding the 21-year-old actor playing the iconic superhero’s sidekick.
Neither DC Studios nor director Matt Reeves has confirmed the ‘Stranger Things’ star’s involvement in the project.
A search through major entertainment news outlets turns up no credible reports verifying the rumor.
Although the social media post included a link to an interview with the film’s director, Reeves made no mention of Schnapp.
Discussing the character of Robin in past interviews, Reeves noted, “Well, sure, you talk about everything. There is probably not any character that we didn’t talk about. What could this be? What could that be? That’s part of the beginning of anything.”
Furthermore, the X account responsible for the post, ‘Discussing Fraud,’ explicitly states in its bio that it is a parody account and has no connection to ‘Discussing Films.’
DC Studios co-CEO and producer James Gunn also previously shut down speculation surrounding characters appearing in the sequel.
“Guys please stop believing this nonsense,” Gunn wrote in a post on Threads. “I think six of us have read the script. No one knows anything about the Batman 2.”
The follow-up to ‘The Batman’ was initially announced in 2022, with Robert Pattinson returning as the Caped Crusader. Reports indicate that the sequel will place a stronger emphasis on Bruce Wayne.
