A claim circulating online in early July 2026 suggested that Natalie Harp, a young woman frequently seen with President Donald Trump during his second term, was a hospice nurse. This assertion was false.
The woman pictured is Natalie Harp, who serves as the president’s assistant. There is no evidence to suggest Harp is a certified hospice nurse, and theories about her performing such duties for Trump were purely speculative, stemming from her publicly known closeness with the president. Furthermore, searches for a licensed nurse named Natalie Harp in Washington D.C. and Florida yielded no results. The White House has not commented on the claim.
The rumor gained traction following reports from journalist Michael Wolff’s book, “All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America,” which noted Harp’s role in passing personal notes to the president and becoming his confidant. Harp’s financial disclosure paperwork, available on the White House website, identifies her as a “special assistant to the President and Executive Assistant to the President.”
Media reports from 2025, including those from The Washington Post, Wired, Vanity Fair, and The New York Times, have described Harp’s close working relationship with Trump. She was reportedly tasked with taking his dictation for social media posts and was even nicknamed “the human printer” for her role in managing his communications and news reports. Her position outside the Oval Office has been noted as a sign of her proximity to the president.
Harp’s connection to Trump began after an appearance on Fox News in 2019, where she credited his signing of the “Right to Try Act” with helping her overcome a bone cancer diagnosis. She was invited to speak at the 2020 Republican National Convention and officially joined Trump’s team in 2022.
Wolff’s book indicates Harp earned an undergraduate degree from Point Loma Nazarene University and a master’s degree in business administration from Liberty University. Reports have highlighted her dedication to remaining close to Trump, which reportedly amused and impressed him, despite potential friction with other staff members. Her estranged brother reportedly attributed her strong connection to Trump to a shared belief in American exceptionalism.
