Investigation reveals that the assertion stems from a purely satirical source. Blackburn never made any such statement regarding the reintroduction of school segregation, categorizing the claim strictly as satire.

The origin of the post traces back to the Chattanooga Enquirer, a social media page explicitly self-identified as a parody and satire platform. The channel’s bio reads: “The one stop shop for Chattanooga’s fake but maybe real news.” 

Cross-referencing the alleged quote across major search engines like Google, DuckDuckGo, and Bing yielded zero records of the candidate ever making such a remark. 

While Blackburn has consistently expressed opposition toward diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs as well as critical race theory (CRT) in educational settings, her official platform does not include proposals for segregation. Her senate communications characterize CRT as a partisan framework that injects racial division into standard subjects like history and mathematics.

Separate academic inquiries into educational demographics, such as Stanford University data from the 2023–2024 academic cycle, note that Tennessee ranks relatively high nationally regarding racial and economic segregation within its public school system. Nevertheless, the attribution of this fictional policy shift to Blackburn remains entirely unfounded.
