A screenshot circulating in mid-2026 purported to show a Truth Social post from U.S. President Donald Trump. The alleged post disparaged The Beatles and referred to Paul McCartney as an “ANTI-TRUMP JOKE.”
However, this claim is not accurate. Searches of Trump’s Truth Social account, including archives of his posts, reveal no such statement about The Beatles or Paul McCartney.
The screenshot originated from the Facebook account of Zeke Sky, a musician known for posting content critical of Trump. Sky later stated that the post was satire, created using a social media post generator. He described it as a satirical claim, not an AI-generated one.
Several indicators suggest the post is not authentic. For instance, the circulated screenshots lack the publication date and reaction icons typically found at the bottom of Truth Social posts.
This instance is similar to other fabricated posts attributed to Donald Trump that have been circulating. Previous debunked claims have included alleged posts about mandatory viewing of the “Melania” movie, pride in “ICE boys,” and a desire to ban alcohol.
When dealing with satirical content, a rating of “originated as satire” or “labeled satire” is used, depending on how the creator describes their work. The determination of whether such content is humorous or misleading is ultimately up to the viewer.
