An Oklahoma judge issued a restraining order in 2016 that prohibited Karrah Youngblood from publicly sharing accusations she made against James Carrell Luman II. Luman had sued Youngblood for defamation after she published a flyer online accusing him of rape, kidnapping, and other serious offenses.
The judge’s order specified that Youngblood was prevented from “communicating in any way shape or form the allegations, content and information” found in the flyer. However, court documents do not indicate that the restraining order was permanent, nor do they suggest that Youngblood was barred from speaking Luman’s name aloud.
Luman later registered as a sex offender in Iowa after a harassment conviction in 2018. In 2017, the restraining order against Youngblood was dismissed by the same judge. Youngblood had also filed for a civil protective order against Luman in March 2016, which was granted the following month.
