The image suggested Trump stated that Iran was “begging me to Unleash the Beast at them” and that he was left with “NO Choice other than to Completely DESTROY them now.” This alleged post, purportedly shared on Truth Social, has generated considerable discussion and prompted calls for verification.
An investigation into the claim revealed that no such post by Donald Trump was found on his Truth Social account, nor on his other social media platforms like X. Searches for the content on July 19, the date indicated in the screenshot, yielded no results. Furthermore, a comprehensive search for similar remarks made by Trump outside of social media also confirmed no public statement to this effect.
The screenshot originated from a satire account named ‘Parody Jeff’, which explicitly identifies itself as a parody or satire account in its profile. Fact-checking organizations have also confirmed the image to be fabricated, noting that the visual format did not align with official Truth Social or X posts and that the account responsible for sharing it acknowledged its satirical nature.
This alleged post gained traction following reports that Trump had instructed CENTCOM to take significant action against Iran. This directive came after an attack resulted in the deaths of American personnel. A CENTCOM statement indicated that strikes were intended to diminish Iran’s capacity to threaten commercial shipping and to retaliate against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for attacks on American service members in Jordan.
